There are four ways in which new energy suppliers may promote their services; advertising, direct mail, telephone or doorstop selling. If you sign a contract with a new supplier you may be able to change your mind depending on where and when you signed. If you decide to go for a dual fuel contract, ensure you know how much you will be paying for each service and when you will be billed. Both Ofgem (external website) and Consumer Focus (external website) are able to provide information should there be more complicated problems with your supplier.
