AwardsNotified Body" status by the Department of Trade and Industry for the purpose of EC verification of Weighing Machines and Liquid Fuel Measuring Instruments (petrol & diesel pumps) We achieved Investor in People Status in January 1996 and again in January 1999. Now the whole of Brent Council has IIP status. In November 1995 we were successful in being awarded our first Charter Mark. Our second was awarded in 1998, our third was achieved in 2001 and fourth in April 2005. We have also received a commendation from The Anti Counterfeiting Group. The Service has been recognised as having the first "Local Business Partnership" in either Brent or Harrow. In September 2001, along with other units within the Environmental Services directorate, we achieved registration to ISO14001 for our Environmental Management Systems. In July 2005 we were one of a small number of organisations to recieve a "Recognised for Excellence", part of the EFQM Levels of Excellence scheme issued by the British Quality Foundation.
