The Consumer Affairs & Trading Standards Conference & Exhibition 2009

TSI’s consumer affairs and trading standards annual conference and exhibition is THE leading consumer affairs and trading standards event in Europe and encouragingly is growing in success and profile each year.

This year's event took place in Brighton from Tuesday 30 June to Thursday 2 July 2009 the conference hosted interactive plenary sessions on each day, the Consumer Challenge Quiz, the semi finals and finals of the Young Consumers of the Year Competition as well as 120 exhibition stands and 41 mini theatre sessions.

Attendees included trading standards professionals from throughout the United Kingdom and overseas; senior leaders and decision makers from local and central Government including – Government Ministers, the Office of Fair Trading, the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills and LACORS – as well as representatives of business and commerce and consumer organisations.

It was a unique opportunity to interface network and promote current activities - it is the only annual event to meet large numbers of trading standards professionals from throughout the United Kingdom in one location. The number of attendees exceeds 2000 during the event period.

Next year's conference 

The 2010 event will be taking place at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre from 15 to 17 June 2010.
