Advanced award
Our advanced fair trading award course is designed for business managers and supervisors. It is for those who need a detailed understanding of regulations including consumer rights and protection.
The course is delivered through classroom-based learning with course notes, interactive workshop exercises and debates. Delegates also produce a project, post-training, to gain the advanced award certificate.
This course includes the intermediate course and a further day that covers these areas:
- recap of the intermediate award
- role of the enforcement officer
- criminal law and legal defences
- responsibilities
- systems failure and prevention
- general principles of trading standards law
- laws about the sale of goods and delivery of services
- quality systems.
To gain access to this course, you must have completed and passed the intermediate award.
