Buy with confidenceHelping you find a trader who is trustworthy and reputable
What is Buy with Confidence? Buy with Confidence is an approved trader scheme provided and maintained by Gloucestershire County Council Trading Standards Service. The scheme provides you with details of reliable local trades people to carry out work around your home or garden. Officers from Trading Standards visit and check every applicant and, only if they pass stringent checks are they accepted onto the Buy with Confidence scheme and can display the Buy with Confidence logo. And it doesn’t stop there. Once a business becomes a member of the scheme they are constantly monitored by Trading Standards to make sure their standards are not slipping. Customers are able to give feedback to Trading Standards on the trader so that we can see how well members look after their customers. Why was the scheme introduced? You will have heard of cowboy builders, loan sharks, rogue traders and scams - this is a key concern for consumers and businesses alike and something our Trading Standards Service is working hard to tackle. Buy with Confidence helps us to direct people to good traders and to support fair, trustworthy and reputable businesses. What if something goes wrong? We are confident that all members will trade fairly, but if something does go wrong we have procedures in place to give you peace of mind.
