schemes, bogus competitions are some of the areas that the 'rip-off
tip-off' team want to hear about.
Unfortunately, in every trading area there are rogues who want to cheat
us out of our money and who are constantly looking for new ways in which
to do it. It's not only consumers who suffer, other traders are often
disadvantaged by unfair trading competition.
People are often reluctant to 'get involved' or report a 'rip-off'.
This on-line facility now means that they can provide information about a
rogue trader without supplying any personal details.
Rip-Off Tip-Off is a collaboration between the Department of Trade and
Industry and trading
standards services across the country.
