Our Money Advice team offers a free, confidential and non-judgemental advice and assistance service for those worried about their financial position. We cover the whole Highland area and the Service has over ten years experience in debt counselling and debt rescheduling.

Perhaps due to a change of circumstances or because of over commitment, you have found yourself in debt and can no longer meet your obligations. Whatever the cause, most people in debt find the experience can be devastating and utterly bewildering. Debt can have an adverse affect on your relationships and even your health. Don’t leave your money problems to chance, we are here to help.

We can arrange to meet you and go over your whole financial situation:

  • Looking at your income to see if we can increase it in any way e.g. you may be due benefits.

  • Helping you examine your day to day expenditure, to try and help you budget to meet essential things, such as housing costs, heating, food etc.

  • Taking emergency action to deal with a crisis situation such as eviction, court action, attachments etc.

  • Giving you advice concerning your legal position and the options available to you or negotiating with creditors on your behalf

Clients can make appointments to meet Money Advice staff in Council offices or Service Points in your area and home visits can be arranged in appropriate cases. (In certain circumstances it may also be possible to arrange meetings or telephone appointments out with normal office hours.)
