The sale of alcohol, tobacco and substances such as solvents to young people under the age of 18 is illegal and causes long term damage to health. It is commonly accepted that young people who are supplied with alcohol have the potential to become involved with ANTI SOCIAL BEHAVIOUR. The criminal damage and violence which may result can lead to serious injury or even death.
Most on and off licensed premises do not sell alcohol to under 18's, but those who do are helping to damage the health and future of our young people, making our communities feel unsafe and taking an advantage over those traders who do trade fairly.
