Victim Support
- In January 2005, an agreement was entered into with Victim Support Lancashire enabling this Service to refer victims of doorstep crime to the organisation.
- The agreement enables officers from this Service to refer the victims of doorstep crime (with their express permission) direct to Victim Support. A Victim Support home visit can then be arranged in order that the organisation is able to provide its support services.
- Victim Support offers a comprehensive service to all sections of the community. Historically this support has been in the form of emotional support and practical help and information for victims of a range of crimes.
- Victim Support is seen as a key partner organisation in the fight against doorstep crime. Their service can have a major and positive impact on the well being of such victims.
