Consumer Advice
Last year our consumer advice section dealt with more than 4,500 complaints as well as a large number of general enquiries. This web site provides information and advice 24 hours a day to help consumers solve their own problems.
From this page you go to our self-help advice sheets. If you are an Oldham Metropolitan Borough Council trader or resident, we can send you leaflets including those produced by other organisations such as The Office of Fair Trading and The Department of Trade and Industry.
It is also possible to search the notes and leaflets for a relevant word or words. Check latest news for updates.
Make a Complaint
We welcome complaints from members of the public who live
in Oldham, or have entered into a contract with a trader
based in Oldham. You can complain on-line to us,
by clicking

Once we receive your complaint, we will deal with it in
accordance with our prioritisation scheme, (click here to
see document) and respond to you
accordingly. You can also complain by telephone on 08454 04 05 06.

This search will return all pages which match any of your selected words. Searching for 'food health' will find pages which include the words 'food' OR 'health' but will not find part words, for example, a page containing the word 'heal'. The search is not case sensitive.
