Task g
On the 20th April 2007 TSI held a meeting with the external verifiers. The following portfolio guidance was decided at that meeting and agreed by the awarding body.
Unfortunately due to some confusion and lack of clear explanation, Task G of the service delivery modules has been used by some assessors as another set of criteria to assess their candidates by.
This is not the intended purpose of this task.
Once the candidate has submitted all their evidence for the portfolio (A-F), the intended purpose of this section is then for the assessor to assess the submitted evidence as a whole against Task G's criteria.
The candidate should not be asked to submit specific evidence for assessment under this Task as evidence for this set of criteria should be found throughout the candidate's submitted portfolio of evidence. The assessor needs to ensure that the candidate understood why they have produced the evidence.
It must be remembered that the candidate is proving their skills competency when submitting their portfolio evidence, their ability to carry out the task in an everyday situation, the knowledge or understanding element has been proved via the examination route.
