We carry out programmed inspections of Weighing and Measuring equipment throughout Shropshire to ensure the equipment is correct. We target retail outlets such as shops, public houses and filling stations and manufacturing and distribution outlets, including cattle markets.

New and repaired equipment used for trade has to be tested to ensure it is accurate before it is brought into use. If you require this service from us, please contact us to arrange an appointment.

We regularly test all public weighbridges in the Shropshire County area to ensure their accuracy. We have prepared a list of public weighbridges and some guidance notes for operators.

We also provide a calibration and testing service to trade and industry to traceable National Standards and a product certification scheme.

In addition we can hire to you, up to 3 tonnes of metric hand weights for your own testing.
