Last year our consumer advice section dealt with almost
4000 requests for service from consumers as well as
a large number of general enquiries. This web site provides
information and advice 24 hours a day to help consumers
solve their own problems.

we can also send you leaflets including those produced

eg the Office of Fair Trading, Department of Trade and
Industry and the Department for the Environment, Food
and Rural Affairs :
Our external publications are available in translated
versions for the principal black and minority ethnic
languages of South Tyneside communities; and are available
in large print, Braille and on audiotape for people
with sensory disabilities.
