Electric Blanket Testing - September 2004
We aim to help South Tyneside residents sleep safe
in their beds by again carrying out our annual FREE
safety checks on electric blankets.
This will the 12th year running the Council has funded
the scheme and is available only to all South Tyneside
residents.
Testing will be available between :
13th September
- 17th September
Blankets should be brought in between 9.30
and 3.00 to either :

South Shields |
Age Concern Day Centre
Palmer’s Community Hospital
Jarrow |
NB Please remember to also bring all
leads, controls and plugs associated with the blankets
as these are checked too.
Depending on the level of demand we hope to have the
blankets tested and available for collection the same
day.
The safety check is carried out by G.E.M.S (SW) Ltd
an accreditated independent test house.
