Get Along To Hebburn Safety Event |
18 Jan 2007 |
People in Hebburn can find out about efforts to tackle
crime and anti-social behaviour at a community safety
roadshow taking place next week as part of the Safer
South Tyneside initiative.
The event is being held from 1pm to 4pm on Monday
(January 22) at The Hastings Club, in Lukes Lane, Hebburn.
Staff from a number of organisations will be on hand
to deliver information and advice on anti-social behaviour,
health and other issues that affect people's quality
of life. They will also be happy to talk to local people
about any concerns they might have.
Among those represented on the day will be the Council's
Anti-Social Behaviour, Trading Standards and Community
Safety teams, as well as Northumbria Police, South
Tyneside Homes and Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Service.
The Council's Energy Efficiency Workers will be distributing
a limited number of energy efficient light bulbs at
the event.
The roadshow has been organised as part of the Safer
South Tyneside initiative, which has seen Northumbria
Police and South Tyneside Council pledge to work together
more closely to fight crime at all levels in the Borough.
For further information on the event, contact the
Council's Community Safety Project Officer, Martin
Connolley on (0191) 444 1828.
