About Our Licensing ServiceWe provide a licensing service which can be split into two broad areas, Enforcement and Administration. Licensing Administration deals with the request, processing and issuing of applications for licenses, permits and registrations received by Stockton on Tees Borough Council. Licensing Enforcement ensure that all licensing conditions are complied with. We process around 4,000 application for licences, registrations and permits each year covering a wide and diverse range. These include Private Hire & Hackney Carriage Licensing, Supply of Alcohol and Regulated Entertainment, Cinemas, Theatres, Skin Piercing, Hairdressers, Charitable Collections and Fund Raising, Lotteries & Amusements, Street Trading, Sex Entertainment Venues, Scrap Metal Dealers, Explosives, Poisons, Animal Welfare Establishments and Zoos

Legislation requires us to maintain Public Registers for certain types of licences, for example Licensing Act 2003 Premises, Private Hire Drivers, Hackney Carriage Vehicles and Motor Salvage Operators. |Top| Comment On A Licensing ApplicationWe regularly consult with the public on applications to grant or vary licences such as pubs, clubs, off licences, take-aways premises that sell alcohol, provide regulated entertainment or late night refreshment. We need to know what you think of proposed new establishments or changes and how they may benefit or affect you. Select the appropriate link below to see a list of our current consultations. We welcome representations on applications, however to ensure that a fair hearing can take place copies of the representations will be made available to the general public and the applicant in particular.
