Consumer Advice
Last year our consumer advice section dealt with more than 1787 complaints as well as a large number of general enquiries. The free and impartial advisory service is provided for consumers & traders resident within the Vale of Glamorgan, offering practical guidance in all areas of goods & service civil law. Large stocks of consumer & trader advice leaflets are available at the office and for you to download or print from this website. Appointments for civil advice over the telephone or in person are also available. However it should be noted that, in civil or criminal matters, we cannot force a business to refund money or resolve a complaint. Only the courts have this power. If you are an Vale of Glamorgan trader or resident, we can send you leaflets including those produced by other organisations such as The Office of Fair Trading and The Department of Trade and Industry.
