A guide to paying for services on credit.Credit can be a very tempting option. It can allow you to spread the cost over a period of time making your purchase affordable. However, it is sometimes too easy to make a snap decision. Once you sign a credit agreement on the trade premises you have entered into a binding contract. Should you later change your mind you will be in breach of contract and the total amount on the agreement will become payable. Do you really understand the deal?
ASK YOURSELF!
It's legally binding! If you decide you don't want to use the services, you will still be legally bound to pay the instalments due under the credit agreement.
If you stop paying, the whole amount payable under the agreement will become due in one lump sum. If this is not paid, the creditor may sue you in court for the money due plus interest and costs. DOs and DON'Ts
