      Merseyside Trading Standards CALIBRATION SERVICES Calibration and Testing Services Operating with the backing and resources of Knowsley, Liverpool, St Helens, Sefton and Wirral Councils, our Calibration Laboratory provides a quality adjustment and calibration service for metrology standards to Industrial, Commercial and Local Authority customers. It is responsible for ensuring that all local standards of mass, volume and linear measures are directly traceable to Government standards held at the National Weights and Measures Laboratory. The five local authorities have joined in a partnership to provide a local source of expertise in metrology testing and calibration. They have obtained the prestigious UKAS accreditation award for mass calibration and offer their facilities to local business and industry. The Laboratory provides a swift and cost effective testing and calibration service for trade and industry. Use of calibration certificates allows industry measurements to be proveable and traceable to national standards.
